I've always been interested in 2 things from an early age; science and making things. I soon realised that for a career these two things could be combined to become engineering but I never knew what form of engineering this would take until my A-levels. I decided to try the electonics AS that was being offered and although this meant I had to be the only person in a class, learn via webcam and do a fair bit of work by myself. Even so, I found the subject very intuitive and enjoyable and with excellent exam results decided to continue onto A2.
I had found something that I really enjoyed. Electronics is an interesting subject that covers a wide range of topics; digital, analogue, communications, software, etc. But what I really enjoy is the underlying principles; applying understanding to solve problems and create a physical solution.
